The front side of the upper paper is in contact with the front side of the middle paper and the front side of the lower paper can be copied. Two upper sheets or two lower sheets cannot produce a copying effect.
Carbonless carbon paper does not need to use waxed carbon paper, and it can be copied without waxing carbon paper, because it is coated with chemicals. Multiple pages of carbonless paper are stacked together to directly print or write to make multiple copies of documents.
